Speech - Rehearsals

Once you have had your speech approved by me, it is time to begin preparing for the big speech presentation.

I.  Make Notecards of key points of your speech. (Need notecards? Ask me for 5 notecards.)

•      Do NOT write the whole speech. This should be memorized.

•      The notecards are to help guide you to the next point. NOT to read from.

•      You are only allowed 5 Notecards

 

III. Show your notecards to your teacher.

•      This is part of your grade so we need proof that you actually made them. 

 

IV. Rehearse your speech (talk to the wall, record yourself on your iPad, Say it to a peer).

•      PAY ATTENTION TO THE RUBRIC SO YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO TO GET THE HIGHEST GRADE

•      You should do this many times and try reading less and less. (Rehearse)

•      It is helpful to hear your speech out loud and see it too. Record and watch. (Audience)  

•      As you talk, mark up your speech where you might need a notecard to help jog your memory.

 

V. Record your rehearsal and send it to me (label it lastname_ReV)

 

 

Your SPEECH is due on 5/30 at the latest
