Interviews - Person on the Street

Person-on-street (POS) interviews consist of asking a passer-by to weigh in and offer their opinion on a specific question

For this segment,

you will walk around the halls

(DO NOT GO INTO CLASSROOMS)

and ask random people a simple question

and record their responses.

Your Assignment (you need a mic and your iPad)

(NOTE: you can help each other by holding the camera while the other does the interview)

STEP 1. Record yourself asking the questions below.

     YOU do NOT have to be on screen, but I MUST HEAR the QUESTION being asked:  

Question for 12/9-13   

WRITE IT DOWN BEFORE YOU LEAVE

As we get closer to the holiday season we have a few questions we would like to ask you 

if that would be okay? 

   1. What is your favorite holiday song? Can you sing a little of it? 

   2. What are the names of Santa's reindeer?

   3. Do you have a favorite tv show or movie that you watch every holiday? If so, what is it?

   4. In the movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, what is the name of the Grinch's dog?

STEP 2. Record the person answering the questions

    Make sure they are speaking into the mic. If I can't hear them, it does not count!

    YOU MUST HAVE THEIR PERMISSION TO RECORD THEM

    Be sure the camera is recording their face and their answer

STEP 3. Do this 4 times (ask 1 teacher/staff, 1 6th grader, 1 7th grader, 1 8th grader)

STEP 4. Come back to class and splice it together in iMovie.

              As always, your video must have an opening slide with your name. question you asked & the date

STEP 5. Upload your video to Schoology​
